Dan Hallman creates abstract photos, paintings, drawings and sculptures. He strives to capture moments around him, creating a painterly image often-times using longer exposures and the camera as a “paintbrush” in found scenarios of the day. Hallman makes all of the images in-camera; there is no photoshop or AI manipulation. In his ongoing series “Textural” Hallman uses paint on canvas to express thoughts, comments and witticisms he has accumulated over many years.

“I am blurring the lines of what you see and creating what is not there. At other times I am using mundane moments of the day and presenting them in a way the viewer may never have noticed or considered to be compelling.”
